Communication is an increasing issue for carers, people living with dementia and health and social care staff. But do you know how to engage and communicate effectively with people living with dementia? People living with dementia often feel ignored, overlooked and experience distress when they feel their voice is not being heard. Based on the experience of delivering training to over 15,000 delegates in just 3 years, Alzheimer's Society training team will explore the most effective ways to engage people with dementia which will benefit both parties and are designed to enhance an individual's quality of life. It's now what is said or what is done but how it's said and how it's done! This will be an interactive presentation aimed at people affected by dementia as well as health and social care professionals.
