Chris Albertyn has >6 years' experience working with care homes as a Clinical Trial and Study Manager at King's College London. As Research Portfolio Lead he has worked closely with care homes, industry and academic partners to facilitate research projects and clinical trials within care homes. Chris firmly believes in public and patient involvement throughout a research process to ensure research can be best designed to meet the needs of care home residents, workers, and providers, with the results achieving maximum impact. His current project is exploring the feasibility and acceptability of a cannabinoid oral spray, Sativex', for the alleviation of agitation, anxiety and aggressive behaviours in care home residents with Alzheimer's Disease. Beyond clinical trials, dementia & care home research, Chris is passionate about applied artificial intelligence and data science for health and social care; clinical psychopharmacology; and ageing/longevity research.
